What Changed?
In the early 1920's, food quantities were large, which made food cheaper to buy and easier to get a hold of. Foods started to come in Pre-Packaged or Ready To Go. Pre- Packaged food or Ready To Go food saved up to 42 hours of cooking for the average house wife every week in the kitchen. In 1929 when the Great Depression hit, food became more expensive and harder for a majority of people to get a hold of. Meat prices skyrocketed. As a replacement to beef or chicken, people would kill rabbits and make recipes with rabbit meat . This was a a much cheaper alternative for these meats.
